"During the break I watched this DVD "Bel Canto can Belto", in which Mary Saunders (Penn State) teaches 4 different women, with very different voices (the last one in her 50s, I'd say) and it illuminates more clearly than anything I can imagine how belt is more of a stylistic/color choice and not what I used to think: trying to push the chest too high so that it comes to the wall. I feel assured having watched it, so I just wanted to let you know... if you're curious about it and wondering whether to spend the time. It may be worth it for the exercises alone..."
